A trainee in an ad agency gets a stipend of Rs 8,000 per month. After a six-month probation, trainees are promoted to copywriters. Initially, a copywriter earns about Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 per month. At the middle level, remuneration depends on one’s track record. Middle-level copywriters earn Rs. 25,000 to Rs 30,000 per month and senior copywriter earn up to Rs. 1.5 lakh per month .
