Copywriting, a sub-branch of advertising, uses words to promote a product, person, enterprise or concept. It uses a variety of promotional media, such as television, radio, the internet, press releases, among other. Copywriters can work in ad agencies, PR  firms, with broadcasters, in stores, and the print media .

YOUR TIME TABLE

8.30 am: Reach office

8.30 am: Join brainstorming Sessions

11am: Get ideas vetted by boss

2 pm: Partner the art director in finalizing concepts of ads

9 pm: Leave for home

YOUR PAY CHEQUE

A trainee in an ad agency gets a stipend of Rs 8,000 per month. After a six-month probation, trainees are promoted to copywriters. Initially, a copywriter earns about Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 per month. At the middle level, remuneration depends on one’s track record. Middle-level copywriters earn Rs. 25,000 to Rs 30,000 per month and senior copywriter earn up to Rs. 1.5 lakh per month .
