The educational qualifications for IBPO PO include a degree in Graduation in any discipline from any University recognized by the Government of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
Moreover, a candidate should possess a valid mark sheet or certificate that he/she is a graduate on the day he/she registers and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online.

- The age limit is minimum 20 years and maximum 30 years.

DESCRIPTIVE PAPER: The mains exam also includes a descriptive paper, which comprises of an essay and a letter. It will be of 25 marks with duration of 30 minutes. It is of qualifying nature.
English can be a very scoring subject in this exam. English can be improved by refining your vocabulary and expanding it with daily effort. The trick is to start from the basics of English language all the while focusing on the grammar and usage of different words. A lot of practice in topics included in the syllabus like error detection, sentence rearrangement, comprehension passage, fill in the blanks, etc. will help in achieving a good score in this subject.
This section includes very scoring topics like coding-decoding, syllogism, inequalities, direction based question, input-output questions, etc. The key is to develop accuracy in your strong areas in this subject. A lot of time could be wasted in this section if questions are not chosen carefully according to your comfort level. Therefore, it is suggested that you be sure of the questions you choose to solve.
This section contains very scoring topics like number series, quadratic equations, data interpretation, simplification, averages, etc. The questions from the above-mentioned topics are suggested to be done first because the questions from other miscellaneous topics are often time-consuming. This subject requires you to be up to date with current affairs. So, update yourself regularly with the daily activities and events happening all around. This section becomes very scoring if you are thorough with daily newspaper and current affairs particularly related to banking and finance sector. You should be aware of current affairs of at least last six months, awards and honors, sports, Indian constitution, banking terms, RBI functions, etc.
This paper requires a good command over-structuring of sentences in English as well as a good typing speed. It requires you to present your thoughts in a well-structured style. It requires good skills in writing. This exam can be cleared by developing a daily reading habit. You need to read the newspaper daily all the while focusing on the editorials. Write as many articles as you can to gather your thoughts in your own words.
The interview for IBPS PO will include questions from different fields like questions about the banking sector, about yourself, current affairs, general awareness, etc. The most frequently asked questions are centered on your profile so make sure you are well prepared about anything mentioned in your profile. Also, be well aware of any major happenings in the news by being up to date with the current affairs.
